Dr. Solyar is a Fellowship Trained Rhinologist/Skull Base Surgeon. She completed her residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and her fellowship training at the Sinus and Nasal Institute of Florida. There she trained with Dr. Donald Lanza, an internationally recognized leader in the field of rhinology and skull base surgery. Dr. Solyar’s advanced endoscopic and skull base training allow for minimally invasive approaches to sinus disease and tumors of the sinonasal cavity and skull base.
Dr. Solyar has a demonstrated commitment to education and research. She has participated as faculty in the Endoscopic Sinonasal Techniques course held is St. Petersburg, Florida in 2010 and has been invited to participate in the next course in 2012. Her other academic works include book chapters on Computer Assistance in Sinus Surgery as well as Nasal and Paranasal Sinus Anatomy & Embryology. Her published works and presentations include topics that deal with image guided endoscopic sinus surgery surgery, pituitary tumors, atypical mycobacteria in refractory chronic sinusitis, and pedicled naso-septal flaps. She is an active member with the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Americal Rhinologic Society, and American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Solyar immigrated to United States with her family in 1990 and is fluent in both Russian and English. In her spare time she and her husband enjoy outdoor activites including fishing, trap shooting and ATVing.
