Pillar Procedure
Controlling Mild to Moderate Snoring and Sleep Apnea
The Pillar Procedure is a minimally invasive treatment for snoring and some types of obstructive sleep apnea that can be performed right in our office in about 20 minutes. Candidates for the Pillar Procedure typically have mild to moderate sleep apnea or snoring. This is a less painful alternative to more extensive surgical procedures with a much shorter recovery time.
During the Pillar Procedure 3 very small implants are placed into the soft palate. These implants stiffen the tissues of the soft palate reducing vibration and drooping that can cause snoring and sleep apnea.
Snoring intensity can be significantly reduced, making for happier bed partners and more peaceful sleep.
